Job description

Join a highly visible enterprise content platform operations initiative focused on improving reliability, automation, and support across major digital properties. This remote contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced operations engineer who enjoys solving production issues, strengthening platform stability, and turning recurring problems into permanent fixes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 2 operational support for enterprise content platforms and digital applications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across CMS platforms, web applications, APIs, integrations, and deployment pipelines.
  • Support releases and production deployments while helping improve the overall deployment process.
  • Investigate incidents to identify whether issues stem from applications, infrastructure, pipelines, or downstream dependencies.
  • Partner with cloud and DevOps teams to resolve platform issues and improve operational reliability.
  • Enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboarding to improve visibility into production health.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and help implement lasting fixes for recurring issues.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive support tasks and streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with development and platform teams to transition new functionality into support.
Skills
  • 7+ years of experience in application support engineering, platform operations, production engineering, DevOps, CMS engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience supporting AEM and/or Sitecore.
  • Strong incident management and production troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience supporting application releases and enterprise deployments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot web applications, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and React-based applications.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
  • Familiarity with GCP, Azure, or similar cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing logs, errors, performance issues, and incidents.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
