We are a high-growth wholesale distributor partnering with convenience store retailers ranging from national chains to regional operators. As our Purchasing Manager, you will have full strategic ownership over our supply chain, directly impacting profitability without corporate red tape.

In this role, you'll own high-level vendor relationships and multi-million-dollar inventory strategy, while a dedicated Purchasing Assistant handles daily PO execution and tactical entry.

Preference for candidates in Dallas, Texas or Little Rock, Arkansas

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Inventory Management: Own reorder points, stock targets, and turn rates for 2,000+ SKUs across 100+ vendor partners. Direct the Purchasing Assistant on day-to-day order execution.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Lead negotiations on product pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and account incentives (e.g., free fills). Maintain updated vendor supply agreements and contract addendums.
  • Sourcing & Category Growth: Identify backup suppliers to mitigate risk, vet new product opportunities based on C-store trends, and onboard new vendor lines.
  • Margin & Cost Control: Monitor landed costs, price fluctuations, and freight expenses to protect profit margins. Oversee PO-to-invoice reconciliation exceptions.
  • Compliance & Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, and Compliance teams to align purchasing with demand and regulatory labeling standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Procurement / Purchasing experience specifically within convenience store distribution, wholesale distribution, or CPG supply chain.
  • Proven track record managing high-SKU catalogs (1,000+ items) and negotiating directly with manufacturers/distributors.
  • Hands-on experience drafting, executing, and tracking formal Vendor Supply Agreements.
  • Strong analytical background utilizing MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and ERP/Inventory Software.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to vendor summits and key supplier facilities.
  • Preferred: Background managing age-restricted or regulated consumer products (vape, tobacco, nicotine) and related compliance standards.

  • Competitive Base Salary + Annual Performance Bonus
  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Coverage
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) & Holiday Pay
  • Relocation Assistance Available (for qualified candidates)
  • Direct Access to Executive Leadership and Clear Career Growth Paths
