What We Look For In a College Political Science Tutor
  • Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of American government, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, public policy, research methods, constitutional law, and political behavior.   • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with political science curricula at introductory and upper-division levels and common challenges such as understanding federalism, applying IR theories to current events, and conducting empirical research. Adapts instruction using current political events, case study analysis, and research methodology guidance to support undergraduate political science students preparing for advanced coursework, law school, or public service careers.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
