This position is designated as remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while focusing on school-based mental health support. • Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disturbances, delivering both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to establish effective treatment plans that address students' unique needs.
• Implement evidence-based strategies and therapeutic interventions tailored to the developmental stages of children and adolescents.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with agency standards and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with school staff, including teachers and administrators, to create a supportive and enriching environment for students' mental health.
• Engage with families to provide education on mental health issues and empower them with tools to support their children.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student cases, share insights, and strategize on best practices for intervention.
• Identify crisis situations and intervene promptly, utilizing appropriate crisis management techniques and directing students to necessary resources.

You will primarily serve a diverse population of children and adolescents within the school system who face a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your previous experience working in underserved settings will be beneficial as you advocate for equitable access to mental health resources and foster an inclusive environment for all students.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Virginia.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in mental health settings, preferably with a focus on children and adolescents.
• Strong understanding of mental health frameworks and interventions suitable for school-aged populations.
• Proficient in managing a diverse caseload while utilizing effective organizational skills to prioritize tasks.

• Experience in collaborating with educational entities to provide mental health support.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in school mental health.
• Skills in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
