• Collaborate closely with our Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to create and implement cohesive mental health treatment plans tailored to each client.
• Provide essential mental health in-service training to our medical, psychiatric, and security teams, ensuring that all staff are equipped to support patients effectively.
• Actively intervene during mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques to stabilize situations within the clinic efficiently.
• Participate in commitment hearings as required, offering professional insights that guide legal proceedings and uphold patient rights.
• Develop and document comprehensive treatment plans and individual goals in tandem with active monitoring of patient progress.
• Maintain meticulous records of all patient interactions, ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality protocols for sensitive medical information.
• Verify and review each patient's mental health history, including assessment of past psychotropic medications to inform current treatment strategies.
• Prepare regular progress reports and special studies as mandated, reflecting ongoing treatment effectiveness and areas for improvement.
• Work alongside nursing and mental health staff to facilitate post-release referrals, assisting clients in transitioning to continued care.

Our clientele ranges from individuals facing acute mental health crises to those requiring long-term therapeutic support. The diverse backgrounds of our patients reflect a variety of life experiences, including substance misuse, trauma, and general mental wellness. Counselors are expected to demonstrate cultural competence and adaptability in treatment approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oregon is essential.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is mandatory, with a focus on effective therapeutic practices and patient outcomes.

• Specializations in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment are highly preferred.
• Experience in working within a community health or multidisciplinary setting is an advantage.
