TITLE: Software Engineer with active Secret/ability to obtain Top Secret (US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)

RATE RANGE: $60/hr - $73/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO-an hour worked is an hour paid)

CLEARANCE: Top Secret, obtainable within reasonable time based on requirements

LOCATION: Scottsdale AZ (This position can be fully remote/telework, fully on-site, or Hybrid)-No relocation package offered

DURATION: 12+ months or contract to hire (with conversion to perm normally happening after 6 months)

GeoLogics is currently seeking a Software Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ location.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems. Your work will directly contribute to the success and innovation of the program.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: 

Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Programming and Development:

Proficiency in Python and Java

Strong understanding of API design, testing, development, and management

Familiarity with Scaled Agile methodology and best practices

DevOps and Cloud:

Knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code

Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect preferred), Azure is a plus

Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes

Security:

Understanding of security best practices, risk, compliance, vulnerability management, encryption, PKI, incident response, auditing, and monitoring

Collaboration and Communication:

Strong ability to work effectively with development, operations, and security teams

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Proficient in generating documentation and sharing knowledge

Artificial Intelligence:

Experience with prompt engineering and AI tools to accelerate workloads
