Job description

Provn is hiring an Agentic Software Engineer III for a travel technology company building its platform on the latest AI-powered development tools. This is a senior full-stack role where working alongside AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) is part of the daily workflow, not a side experiment.

Comp: Discussed at interview stage. Remote, US-based.

Apply directly here:

provn.co/org/arrivia/jobs/1721d3e0-376a-4f33-8c28-8f275cad63e3/agentic-software-engineer-ii-1?utm_source=dstribute&utm_medium=job+board&utm_campaign=arrivia-swe3

At the III level, you own technical delivery end to end, from design through production, and lead technical efforts within your team. You'll make complex decisions on system design and cross-component integration, balancing delivery speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability. You'll also build the internal agentic workflows and MCP integrations that set the team's productivity ceiling, and mentor the engineers coming up behind you.

What you'll be doing:

  • Designing, developing, and delivering complex features and services across a full-stack travel platform
  • Using Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot in daily workflows to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
  • Reviewing and validating AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability, and helping set the team's quality bar
  • Building and improving internal agentic workflows that automate repetitive engineering tasks like testing, documentation, and code review triage
  • Building and configuring Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that connect AI agents to internal tools, data sources, and platform services
  • Refactoring and modernizing services that have outlasted their original implementations using cloud-native design patterns
  • Contributing to architectural decisions across an increasingly distributed architecture
  • Advocating for quality, durability, and technical debt reduction with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Designers
  • Safeguarding the privacy and security of member data in partnership with Risk and Security teams
  • Establishing and meeting backend and system SLOs as the platform scales
  • Mentoring junior engineers on development practices, code quality, and productive use of AI-assisted tools

What we're looking for:

  • 5-8 years of full-stack development experience building web applications and services
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience using AI coding agents in professional development workflows
  • Strong proficiency in two or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#/.NET
  • Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks: React, Next.js, Vue, or Angular
  • Experience architecting and deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong foundation in RESTful API design and microservices architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI coding agents to accelerate delivery and automate engineering workflows
  • Working knowledge of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and hands-on experience configuring MCP servers
  • Experience with prompt engineering for code generation, debugging, testing, and documentation
  • Experience with real-time streaming or distributed messaging platforms like Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Agile software delivery experience
  • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical design discussions
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Bonus points for working knowledge of Azure AI Foundry, RAG, LangChain, or graph-based data technologies (GraphRAG, GraphDB)

Must be authorized to work in the US. No visa sponsorship.
