position summaryMerjent, Inc. (Merjent) has an exciting opportunity for an Air Quality Project Manager with demonstrated success performing and managing air quality consulting services. The successful candidate will manage and/or assist with completing air quality permitting, air dispersion modeling, and environmental review efforts, including NEPA analyses. This position requires technical knowledge of federal, state, and local air regulations to manage technical air quality analyses, prepare permit applications and regulatory documentation, and coordinate with agencies, internal teams, and clients to support energy, infrastructure, and industrial projects. Experience in the Northeastern U.S. and knowledge of other environmental programs is a plus.This is a full-time benefits eligible opportunity that can be based anywhere in the US. The anticipated annual salary for this position is between $125,900 and $193,700 annually, depending upon qualifications and experience. This may include quick turn-around projects.Perform and oversee air dispersion modeling in support of permitting and environmental reviews.Prepare air quality sections of NEPA documents (EA/EIS) and similar state environmental reviews.Track schedules, budgets, and deliverables for air quality tasks and projects.Manage client relationships to maintain their satisfaction and Merjent's reputation for excellence.Serve as a mentor to junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous learning. qualifications and experienceBachelor's or advanced degree in chemical or environmental engineering, environmental science, or a closely related field.
