What is a Remote Project Manager 1099?

A Remote Project Manager 1099 is an independent contractor who oversees projects for organizations while working remotely, rather than as a full-time employee. The '1099' refers to the IRS tax form used in the United States for reporting payments made to independent contractors. These project managers are responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, coordinating with teams and stakeholders online. Because they are contractors, they typically manage their own taxes and benefits, and may work for multiple clients at once.

Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for coordinating remote teams and stakeholders.
