Location: 100% remote

Contract Length: 1 year

Contract Rate: $45-55 per hour in USD. Final rate will be determined based on relevant experience and overall fit for the position

NTT DATA is seeking a PMO Assistant to support our client's IT project portfolio through governance, reporting, data quality, and project coordination activities. This role is focused on helping project managers maintain accurate portfolio information, track milestones, risks, and action items, and prepare dashboards, scorecards, and executive-level reporting that support visibility across active IT initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support oversight of the IT project portfolio in alignment with Global IT metrics, processes, and industry standards.
  • Monitor project status, milestones, risks, issues, and project health indicators to support accurate portfolio reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and validation of PMO scorecards, dashboards, portfolio reports, and executive presentations.
  • Partner with project managers to improve the quality and integrity of project delivery reporting.
  • Coordinate with project managers to collect project updates and ensure timely reporting of milestones, risks, and key deliverables.
  • Support PMO demand management processes, including demand intake, validation, prioritization support, and portfolio analysis.
  • Maintain and validate project information within IT Project Portfolio Management tools, including Clarity and future platforms.
  • Assist in documenting PMO procedures, standards, reporting processes, and training materials.
  • Support process enhancements that improve reporting accuracy, governance compliance, and PMO performance metrics.

Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting a PMO, project portfolio management function, project reporting team, or project administration environment.
  • Experience working with project portfolio management tools such as Clarity PPM, ServiceNow PPM, or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience supporting IT project portfolios and governance processes.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, demand management, project lifecycle methodologies, and PMO best practices.
  • Experience with Power BI or visualization/reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with IT financial tracking and capital project governance processes.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Project Management, Finance, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • PMP, CAPM, PMI-PBA, or similar project management certification.

Required Equipment: This role requires the use of a personal laptop. Candidates must be comfortable with company security software and device management tools being installed on their laptop as part of the onboarding process and for the duration of the engagement.
