Job description

Axyde Analytics is recruiting a senior artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) governance and responsible-supply-chain specialist for contingent USTDA critical-minerals project-scoping work.
The specialist will help evaluate projects and supply chains where ASM, informal mining or vulnerable mining communities affect technical feasibility, traceability, stakeholder risk, market access or development impact.
Required evidence:
• 15+ years in mining governance, international development, responsible sourcing, social performance, traceability or closely related work; advanced degree strongly preferred.
• Direct field experience with ASM formalization, licensing, cooperative or aggregator models, occupational safety, mercury or hazardous-practice reduction, child/forced-labor risk or community livelihood transitions.
• Demonstrated application of OECD due-diligence guidance or comparable responsible-minerals frameworks, chain-of-custody/traceability systems and supplier-risk controls.
• Experience working with host governments, communities, buyers, refiners, civil society, development institutions and private-sector operators.
• Ability to convert stakeholder and governance evidence into practical project conditions, monitoring indicators, risk mitigations and decision gates.
• Strong written communication for Government decision products and transparent handling of independence/OCI concerns.
Engagement is remote, project-based and contingent on contract award and assignment authorization; no minimum work is guaranteed. Limited travel to U.S. and international locations subject to U.S. Department of State Level 1 or Level 2 Travel Advisories may be required.
Applicants should be currently U.S.-based and must self-attest that they are a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Axyde will separately confirm availability, travel, résumé-use authorization and OCI facts before proposal selection. Submit a current résumé and one or two nonconfidential ASM or responsible-sourcing assignments identifying country/commodity, stakeholder setting, personal role, methods and outcome.
