Account Manager – Northern Illinois (Remote)


We are a value-added wholesale distributor of water and wastewater infrastructure products serving municipal, commercial, industrial, and residential markets. The organization is experiencing steady growth and is well positioned to expand further by leveraging deep industry expertise, strong partnerships, and innovative solutions.


We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to support and grow business across Northern Illinois within the Midwest territory. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys relationship-driven selling, technical solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, municipal utilities, contractors, builders, developers, owners, and other purchasing influencers within the assigned territory
  • Collaborate with engineers and owners to develop innovative solutions for collection system improvements, including pressure sewer systems and lift station technologies
  • Coordinate closely with vendors to meet customer needs efficiently and effectively
  • Prepare quotes, secure orders, and submit required documentation
  • Provide product submittals, owner training, and ongoing service support
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from order entry through payment
  • Travel within Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana using a personal vehicle, with occasional overnight travel as needed


Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong sales drive with a customer-focused mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in pump systems or mechanical system sales
  • Knowledge of municipal, commercial, and industrial sales processes
  • Established network of consulting engineers, municipal utilities, and contractors preferred
