Description

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated candidate to support the Solutions Technology Group (STG) as a Senior Finance Analyst.  This individual will play a critical role in supporting STG’s financial decision-making process by providing valuable insights and analysis that drive strategic business planning, cost management, and optimization of resources.  The ideal candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both horizontally and vertically within STG.

This position is available 100% remote.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interface with STG leadership, SAIC’s finance, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, and procurement organizations to address operational issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Responsible for preparation of weekly and periodic financial deliverables and internal reports to include Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, and Estimates At Complete (EACs) for various organizations within STG.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of financial information and analysis within required deadlines and ensure the information provided is concise, relevant, and understandable to assist STG leadership in making intelligent business decisions.
  • Support development of budgets (EACs/Spendplans) as needed and perform financial analysis on funding profiles and project financial variances.
  • Support the development and analysis for service center plans.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline, with minimum six (6) years or more of relevant experience in Federal government contracting; Masters and four (4) years or more of experience.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Proven experience across project planning and control and variance analysis with a background in Federal procurement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to process and analyze large volumes of data in Excel and consolidate into management level reports.
  • Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles.
  • Can make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, and accounting principles.
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skillset.
