Job description

Coho Construction Management is seeking an experienced Cost Engineer. This remote role requires travel and will support cost estimating and analysis activities to evaluate project budgets, change proposals, and cost impacts.

This is a part-time on-call position. It's an estimated 200 hours of work within six months.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Prepare or review cost estimates and quantity takeoffs.
  • Review contractor cost proposals and change orders.
  • Support cost tracking and budget analysis.
  • Assist with cost risk and escalation assessments.
  • Provide cost-related input to project leadership.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Required Experience:
    • The Cost Engineer shall have a minimum of at least five (5) years in experience in developing/analyzing cost estimates, preferably for large federal programs, and have certification as a cost engineer by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), or as a certified professional estimator by the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE).

  • Skills and Abilities
    • Certification (AACE or similar) required.
