Job description

Job Summary:

The Junior Business Development Coordinator supportsBudlong's business development and client relationship initiatives by identifying prospective clients, conducting market research, maintaining customer relationships, and assisting with sales and marketing activities. This role works closely with the Business Development Executive and Management team to support business growth, maintain accurate client information, prepare proposals and presentations, and assist with developing new business opportunities.

This position is ideal for an organized and motivated professional who enjoys building relationships, learning the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, and developing a career in Business Development.


Role, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with identifying and researching prospective clients and business opportunities.
  • Support outreach efforts by contacting prospective clients via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other networking platforms.
  • Schedule meetings between prospective clients and the Business Development Executive.
  • Maintain and update customer and prospect information within the Company's CRM system.
  • Assist with preparing proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, and marketing materials.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication and follow-up.
  • Coordinate follow-up activities after client meetings, networking events, conferences, and project pursuits.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking opportunities as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Management teams to support business development initiatives and campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, client interactions, and sales opportunities.
  • Assist with tracking business development opportunities and preparing reports for management.
  • Support proposal follow-up activities and coordinate internal communication related to prospective projects.
  • Assist with maintaining business development documentation, marketing collateral, and client information.
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Assist with preparing sales presentations and participate in sales and business development meetings.
  • Ensure all client communications reflect Budlong's professional standards and commitment to customer service.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity to support business development efforts.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Company and client information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.
  • Experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment.

  • Bilingual communication skills are considered an asset.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in business development, sales, customer service, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
