Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' eating disorder symptoms, co-occurring mental health issues, and specific treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable recovery goals that foster engagement and commitment.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to guide sessions effectively.
  • Lead therapy sessions focusing on restructuring distorted beliefs around body image, food, and self-esteem, and encourage the development of healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Assist clients in improving emotional regulation and resilience to resist disordered eating behaviors.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
