Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, offering convenience and flexibility. While the role may incorporate 36 hours of work per week (with potential for 32 hours), the schedule is strictly Monday through Friday, promoting work-life balance. The outpatient office setting, combined with the use of advanced electronic medical records (EPIC system), supports efficient client management and treatment. Additionally, there are no on-call obligations associated with this role.

Key Responsibilities

The Mental Health Counselor will undertake a variety of responsibilities aiming to enhance patient care, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health, focusing on their emotional and psychological factors affecting weight management.
  • Utilizing standardized assessment tools to evaluate mental health conditions, aiding in the development of appropriate treatment plans.
  • Providing personalized counseling sessions that address issues surrounding obesity and binge eating, fostering a supportive environment for clients to explore their emotional and behavioral patterns.
  • Designing tailored treatment programs that consider individual client needs, setting achievable goals that promote positive change.
