Position Responsibilities

The Senior Principal LTO Salesforce Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will play a critical leadership role within the Lead to Order (LTO) Platform team, driving the evolution of enterprise systems that power core business operations. Acting as a Product Owner in an increasingly Agile organization, this individual will own and shape the product backlog, translating strategic business objectives into prioritized, high-impact solutions.

Partnering closely with stakeholders across the Deltek business, the BSA will lead discovery and business process design efforts, define clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business value. This role requires balancing competing priorities, influencing decision-making, and aligning cross-functional teams around a shared product vision.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of business acumen, systems thinking, and data-driven decision-making. They are comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, analyzing complex challenges, identifying opportunities for optimization, and delivering scalable technology solutions that improve efficiency and drive growth.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to directly impact how the organization scales its Lead to Order capabilities, modernizes its platforms, and delivers value through technology.

Systems Planning, Integration & Deployment

  • Research SW products and lead vendor evaluation / selection processes for IT business applications through a formal methodology.
  • Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed IT systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and implementation of new IT business applications, and enhancements to existing business applications; primarily within the LTO platform.
  • Create use-case models, requirements specifications, and interface diagrams to provide direction to system programmers.
  • Lead business process design sessions for the purpose of enhancing business operations and information flow through IT systems.
  • Lead and execute system testing activities, including end-user acceptance testing, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Lead training, communications and change management efforts for systems implementation projects.
  • Lead acquisition integration efforts to migrate data, systems, and business processes to Deltek's Salesforce and Marketing platforms.

General BSA Systems Operations & Support

  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT business systems across the enterprise.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness of existing LTO systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Proactively partner with business and technical teams to provide ongoing support and systems / process improvements.
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance to other team members, both technical and business. Influence stakeholders and hold leadership accountable.
  • Operate as a Product Owner within an Agile delivery model, including owning and prioritizing the backlog, facilitating refinement with delivery teams, and partnering with stakeholders to define sprint/release goals and validate outcomes against acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • BA / BS, Information Systems, Business Administration, Business Analytics or equivalent experience.
  • 12 - 15 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
  • 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting sales, customer care, order processing, and / or billing systems in the High-Tech or Information Services industries. SaaS/Software company experience preferred.
  • Consulting experience or background strongly preferred
  • High level of prior experience with Salesforce and billing systems implementations and operations is required. Salesforce CPQ experience preferred.
  • Membership in Industry Associations and/or Salesforce Certifications desired.
  • US Citizenship is Required for this role.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  • Expert knowledge in SDLC, Agile and Waterfall
  • Must be able to translate business requirements into well-formed technical and system requirements.
  • Strong experience implementing and supporting Salesforce.com and other SaaS applications
  • Experience performing cost-benefit and ROI analysis
  • Strong experience with IT project management processes and approaches. Including ability to lead projects as needed
  • Experience with modeling business processes, data flows, and workflow processes
  • Should be comfortable working with large data sets (data analysis and data mapping) and Business Intelligence tools
  • Extensive knowledge of sales and lead to cash (LTC) business processes
  • Experience with AI (Artificial Intelligence) and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) technologies, including the ability to evaluate, implement, and integrate these solutions to enhance LTO processes and drive efficiency. Showcase adaptability in a rapidly evolving field.
Customer Management Skills:
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), relationship building, influence and negotiation skills with both technical and business resources
  • Experience working with customers in a variety of roles / levels from junior developers to executives at a VP and higher level
  • Adept at working with cross-functional business owners to help prioritize a roadmap, leveraging data to arrive at mutually beneficial outcomes to deliver business value
Other Competencies:
  • Deltek is a fast-paced environment; the ability to support multiple projects at the same time and to react deftly to changes in business priorities is critical
  • Experience in coordinating multiple priorities and managing conflicts where needed
  • Ability to identify and drive change management from a process and technical solution perspective

The U.S. salary range for this position is $103,500.00-$183,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
