Position Description

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining product priorities, driving continuous discovery, and ensuring the delivery team is focused on the highest-value work aligned to customer needs, company strategy, and product vision.This role serves as the connective point between customers, Product Development, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and leadership. The ideal candidate combines strong customer empathy, strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and execution discipline in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Continuously engage with customers, users, Sales, Support, and Customer Success to be the embodiment of the product’s target market for the rest of the development team.

  • Ensure the development team is clear on the highest-priority work to be done.

  • Ensure that the highest priority work is clearly defined, including how it relates to the product vision, strategy, competitive landscape, and the needs of existing customers.

  • Provide Product Marketing Management with the information they need to effectively enable sales, customer success, and channel partners.

  • Represent the product internally and externally to customers, Sales, and Customer Success.

  • Continuously engage with customers, prospects, users, Sales, Support, and Customer Success to understand market needs, workflows, pain points, and emerging opportunities.

  • Act as the voice of the customer and target market for Product Development and cross-functional teams.

  • Work closely with Engineering Managers of their teams to ensure that the team is effective at iterating quickly to make the product more competitive and valuable.

  • Own and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring teams focus on the highest-impact work aligned with the product vision and company strategy.

  • Define and communicate product requirements, priorities, business outcomes, and release objectives.

  • Partner closely with Product Development throughout discovery, validation, delivery, and iteration cycles.

  • Work closely with Engineering Managers of their teams to ensure that the team is effective at iterating quickly to make the product more competitive and valuable.

  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to support positioning, enablement, launches, and strategic customer engagements.

  • Monitor customer feedback, market trends, competitive positioning, and product performance to inform prioritization and strategy.

  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap updates, and priorities effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

  • Experience working for a B2B software company with ~ 50 mm in revenue.

  • Experience working for an early-stage B2B software tech startup.

  •  Experience working at a fully remote company.

  • Experience partnering with direct sales organizations, including Account Executives and Solutions Engineers.Experience working for a company with multiple products as part of an integrated platform.

  • Experience supporting Fortune 500 and mid-market companies.

  • Worked closely with Product Development team members as primary users/stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ownership of roadmap prioritization and product decisions across at least one quarterly planning cycle.

  • Experience balancing customer demands, competitive pressures, and the need to progress toward product vision.

  • Experience articulating the value proposition and the ROI of the product to both internal and external audiences. 

  • Experience in identifying, analyzing, and tracking the main competitive products and market positioning. 

  •  Strong history of direct customer engagement, including discovery conversations, product feedback sessions, and strategic account interactions.
