Job description

Wand makes gaming magical. Through game customization and guidance, we build tools that helps players have more fun in their favorite games.

Our platform works across thousands of PC games, ensuring that great games are accessible to everyone, regardless of time constraints, skill level, or accessibility needs. We want to build the future of game assistance, and we're hoping you'll join us.

About the Role

Wand is seeking a Head of Product to define and lead the company's product strategy across the full product suite as it builds the next generation of interactive gaming experiences. Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO Zach Rueda, this leader will own the product roadmap, partner closely with the broader executive team, and establish the product function as the company scales. This is an opportunity to have outsized influence at a high-growth company, shaping both the product vision and the team responsible for bringing it to life.

What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap across Wand's entire product suite, including the gaming platform and player experience.

  • Lead the full product lifecycle, from customer discovery and product strategy through launch, iteration, and optimization.

  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to prioritize initiatives and deliver high-quality consumer products.

  • Build and establish product management best practices, operating processes, and product planning as the organization grows.

  • Develop a deep understanding of player behavior through customer research, analytics, and experimentation, translating insights into product decisions.

  • Drive key business metrics including user acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization.

  • Define and track product KPIs, using data to prioritize investments and measure product success.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and gaming trends to ensure the platform remains innovative and competitive.

  • Foster and develop a high-performing product team, mentoring product managers, setting a consistently high bar, and leveraging each person's strengths.

Who You Are

Core requirements:

  • 7+ years of product management experience, including leadership experience at high-growth consumer technology companies.

  • Proven track record building and scaling multi-surface consumer products with millions of users, ideally in gaming, entertainment, consumer software, or digital platforms.

  • Track record of leading complex, cross-functional product and design teams.

  • Experience building from the ground up in a founder-led startup environment, being comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Strong customer intuition with demonstrated success building engaging, retention-driven consumer experiences.

  • Data-driven product leader with deep experience using experimentation, analytics, and user research to inform product decisions.

  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering and Design to ship high-quality products quickly.

  • Strong understanding of product-led growth, engagement loops, monetization strategies, and user lifecycle management.

  • Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing product managers while establishing scalable product processes.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and align cross-functional teams.

Personal characteristics:

  • Visionary, creative, and entrepreneurial, with the ability to inspire teams and partners to deliver bold, innovative work.

  • Hardworking, adaptable, and resilient, thriving in fast-moving, high-growth startup environments.

  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication skills, capable of representing the company internally and externally.

  • Passion for gaming, interactive entertainment, and emerging consumer technology, with a deep understanding of culture, creators, and community.

  • Collaborative and low-ego, able to build trust across teams, leadership, and partners while maintaining accountability.

  • Energetic, hands-on, and detail-oriented, capable of balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.

  • Creative-first mindset, with a track record of launching memorable, culturally relevant campaigns that resonate with audiences.

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and equity package.

  • Fully remote work arrangement.

  • The chance to do unusually deep native work for an audience of 40M+ players who will actually feel the difference.

  • A team of people who genuinely love games, move incredibly fast, and care deeply about what they build.

Compensation Range: $250K - $300K
