Job description

Position Purpose: Lead and support the design, development and execution of value-based purchasing (VBP) & payment innovation programs across Centene. This role will directly support the achievement of goals and metrics related to payment innovation.

  • Develop value-based purchasing model technical design & annual model updates. Support creation of new ideas and products to meet emerging customer needs
  • Develop value-based purchasing performance management and tracking processes/tools
  • Lead creation, development and adoption of value proposition content & collaterals with support from stakeholders
  • Lead and support value-based purchasing training & coaching across Centene including Markets and Product organizations
  • Responsible for understanding state requirements/needs to support request for proposal (RFP) and re-procurement responses (Medicaid)
  • Responsible for business ownership for tools & technology that support value-based purchasing programs/models. Provide technical support and direction to IT & Analytics teams.

Education and Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in Health Care Administration, Policy, Provider Engagement or other related field required. Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Policy, Provider Engagement or other related field required or equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree. Master's of Business Administration (MBA), Master's of Health Administration (MHA) or other advanced degree preferred.

This is a remote position open to someone working anywhere in the United States. It will require up to 10% travel for internal and provider-facing meetings.

Pay Range: $148,000.00 - $274,200.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
