Job description

About Lovesac
We are a young-at-heart, fast-growing furniture company, dedicated to helping people fill their homes with Total Comfort™. We do this by designing and innovating furniture solutions that are adaptable, washable, expandable, and delivered right-to-your-door-able, allowing our customers to live the life they want to live.
Our Designed for Life mission started with Sacs, a seat so much better than your classic beanbag made with repurposed Durafoam and designed to reduce environmental impact while providing unimaginable, cloud-like comfort. From there, we expanded the possibility for sustainable furniture with Sactionals, a customizable modular sectional that can be endlessly rearranged to evolve with you. Our product line has grown a lot since our Sacs days, but our goal will always remain the same: to create truly adaptable, comfortable furniture that can be with you for life.
About our Culture
At Lovesac, we strive to be an employer of choice by embodying a culture that encourages team members to think and dream big. We call this Top Ambition. We aim to not only excel within our industry but also make a meaningful impact on the world. Above all else, we're driven by love because it matters and are dedicated to promoting love and happiness in all aspects of our work. It's about success, of course, but it's also about making a positive impact on everyone our business touches.
About the Role
As our Director, Finance Platforms, you will lead the strategy, roadmap, governance, delivery, and continuous improvement of Lovesac's Finance technology ecosystem. You will serve as the senior technology partner to Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Internal Audit, and Enterprise Technology leaders, ensuring financial platforms support scalable growth, strong controls, operational efficiency, and an excellent associate experience.
This role owns the Finance Platforms product portfolio, including NetSuite ERP, Avalara, Concur, Navan, MineralTree, Trintech, Wdesk, StrongPoint, and future Finance automation solutions. You will lead product ownership, platform operations, business process transformation, vendor performance, and the team responsible for delivering Finance technology outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines strong Finance and ERP domain knowledge with product leadership, change leadership, and executive-level business partnership. You are equally comfortable defining a multi-year strategy, prioritizing a product backlog, leading transformation programs, strengthening SOX controls, developing talent, and resolving critical platform risks.
This position is remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford, CT. Candidates must fully reside in the United States at all times during employment and should have the ability to travel as needed.
What You'll Do
Finance Platform Strategy & Product Leadership
  • Define and own the multi-year Finance Platforms strategy, operating model, roadmap, and investment priorities aligned with Finance and enterprise objectives.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner to Finance leadership and translate business priorities into scalable platform capabilities and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish product governance, intake, prioritization, release planning, and value realization practices across the Finance application portfolio.
  • Own portfolio health, platform KPIs, service levels, adoption measures, risks, technical debt, and executive reporting.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations for platform investments, modernization, consolidation, and automation.
ERP & Financial Applications Ownership
  • Own the direction, lifecycle, reliability, security, performance, and support model for NetSuite ERP and connected Finance applications.
  • Lead optimization of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, and Month-End Close capabilities.
  • Oversee the Finance application portfolio, including NetSuite, Avalara, Concur, Navan, MineralTree, Trintech, Wdesk, StrongPoint, and future solutions.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Integration, Data, Cybersecurity, and Quality Engineering teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards.
  • Ensure production issues, root causes, platform risks, and lifecycle needs are proactively managed.
Finance Process Transformation
  • Partner with Finance leaders to simplify, standardize, and automate Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, expense, tax, treasury, close, reporting, and audit processes.
  • Identify manual workarounds and control gaps, then sponsor scalable process and technology improvements.
  • Lead Finance workstreams for enterprise implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive adoption, training, change readiness, process documentation, and sustained business ownership of new capabilities.
  • Ensure benefits are defined, tracked, and communicated through measurable improvements in cycle time, quality, control effectiveness, and productivity.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure Finance platforms support SOX requirements, audit readiness, security policies, segregation of duties, role-based access, and controlled change management.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Finance, Cybersecurity, and Legal teams on control design, access reviews, evidence, remediation, and risk reduction.
  • Establish standards for requirements, testing, release governance, documentation, incident management, and vendor-delivered changes.
  • Maintain clear accountability for decisions, risks, dependencies, and issue escalation across the portfolio.
Vendor, Budget & Delivery Management
  • Manage strategic technology vendors, managed service providers, consultants, and implementation partners.
  • Own vendor performance, contracts, resource plans, renewals, budgets, forecasts, and investment recommendations for the Finance Platforms portfolio.
  • Ensure programs and enhancements are delivered with clear scope, outcomes, milestones, controls, and stakeholder communication.
  • Balance strategic transformation, regulatory needs, operational stability, and business demand across the roadmap.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Lead, coach, and develop Product Owners, ERP engineers, system analysts, and external partners supporting Finance Platforms.
  • Establish clear roles, goals, performance expectations, succession plans, and career development opportunities.
  • Build an accountable, product-oriented culture focused on business outcomes, reliability, continuous improvement, and customer centricity.
