Position Summary
Graduate Medical Education
Primary coordinator of multiple small ACGME accredited programs (two programs with more than 12 house officers or more than two programs).
Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks. Sees connections between routines and how they relate to other procedures. Knows where to seek answers and independently researches solutions to questions. Broad and comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures and systems. Compose correspondence requiring knowledge of related matters including accreditation requirements. Coordinates and leads arrangements for meetings and events, conferences and travel. Anticipates challenges/questions before they occur and offers solutions Manage house officer and program director conferences and travel as needed. Prepare, analyze and summarize complex reports. Intermediate budget oversight.
Undergraduate Medical Education
This level of coordination requires a significant level of autonomy and expertise. Tasks at this level are of critical importance to the College of Medicine and involve accreditation standards and evaluative data. The coordination of data for about 500 students in the OME pre-clinical and clinical undergraduate medical education programs and overseeing administrative tasks related to the College of Medicine's student education and college accreditation. The coordinator is entrusted with data that requires a high level of responsibility in processing sensitive and confidential information. Collaborate with roughly 200 faculty to collect, manage, and distribute data with minimal errors. Must ensure adherence to LCME standards. Additionally, coordinate assessments and proctor exams and arrange clinical skills/simulation activities across all phases. All phases require knowledge of and adhering to governing agencies and policies (HIPAA, FERPA, HLC, and LCME).
For department level undergraduate coordinators, two or more required programs with combined total of at least 14 students or one required educational program with at least 30 students per rotation
