• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately determine each client's mental health needs, identifying concerns and setting targeted goals for their therapy.
• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions, skillfully addressing a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions.
• Deliver couples and family therapy to help navigate relationship dynamics, improve communication, and resolve conflicts that impact family units.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans rooted in best practices, ensuring interventions align with the client's goals and preferences.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and stabilization support to clients in acute distress, offering resources and reassurance during challenging moments.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, emphasizing effective coping strategies and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Follow ethical guidelines and legal requirements, prioritizing client confidentiality and informed consent throughout the counseling process.

As an LPC at Harris Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals of varying ages, cultural backgrounds, and life circumstances. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
