Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient and family advocate, guiding them through the complexities of the healthcare system and ensuring they receive necessary services efficiently.
• Educate and reinforce therapeutic concepts to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and empowering them through knowledge.
• Diagnose mental health disorders using evidence-based practices, clinical assessments, and standardized diagnostic tools.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and therapeutic goals, adapting as necessary based on their progress.
• Conduct regular counseling sessions to provide therapy and make adjustments to treatment plans, using a range of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, managing documentation in compliance with privacy laws and health regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through training sessions, workshops, and supervision to enhance therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and family dynamics. Your focus will be on helping clients explore their emotions and thought processes, facilitating personal growth, and improving interpersonal relationships. You will have the opportunity to engage with families and couples, helping them to communicate more effectively and resolve conflicts.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), holding a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience providing mental health services, ideally within a health-related setting.
• A strong understanding of privacy, health, and safety laws affecting patient care and confidentiality.
• Proficient therapeutic and counseling skills, demonstrating the ability to motivate clients towards positive change.
• Exemplary organizational skills to ensure efficient management of patient files and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities, including family therapy techniques, and understanding of current mental health best practices.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and digital tools for remote counseling.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, Grow Through Life Counseling offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
