Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' emotional and behavioral issues, providing immediate crisis interventions as necessary.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices that align with clients' therapy goals.
• Maintain regular communication with families and support systems regarding treatment progress, ensuring they are engaged and informed in the discharge planning process.
• Document client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely in accordance with departmental guidelines, ensuring compliance and quality patient care.
• Foster teamwork by collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to discuss patient progress and address any emerging needs or problems.
• Utilize mental health software for managing client records, scheduling, and ensuring effective teletherapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Vertex Behavioral Healthcare, you will work primarily with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. You will have the opportunity to apply therapeutic modalities tailored to individual needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices, facilitating a path to recovery and mental well-being.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional counseling experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of effective therapeutic approaches.
• A Master's degree in Professional Counseling or a related field, equipping you with the foundational knowledge required for clinical practice.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Extensive experience in conducting diagnostic evaluations and creating individualized treatment plans.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly with MS Office Suite and electronic medical records systems, ensuring seamless documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and delivering culturally competent care.
• Previous telehealth experience is preferred, enabling effective virtual therapy delivery.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices specific to anxiety and mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits
