Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify individual and family needs and formulate personalized treatment plans based on these assessments.
• Facilitate intensive therapy sessions with clients, structuring each session around their specific therapeutic goals to enhance overall personal and relational growth.
• Regularly evaluate and modify treatment plans based on clients’ progress and feedback, ensuring the therapy is responsive to their evolving needs.
• Document client interactions meticulously, upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through training sessions, workshops, and peer consultations to enhance therapeutic skills and stay updated on the latest evidence-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapy services cater to a wide-ranging client population that includes families, couples, and individuals facing various mental health challenges. You will work with clients dealing with relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma recovery. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients develop resilience, improve communication, and strengthen relational bonds.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for this role:

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• An active LMFT license in the state of Maryland.
• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities, with a focus on family systems theory.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, foster open communication, and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences will stand out:

• A minimum of 2 years of direct therapy experience working with couples and families.
• Experience in a remote therapy setting or a willingness to adapt to virtual therapy modalities.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and documentation systems to maintain accurate client records.

Compensation and Benefits
