Bridgeway Mental Healthcare Pte. Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our community-focused healthcare team in Springfield, Illinois. This is a full-time remote position designed for licensed professionals who are passionate about addressing the mental health needs of the geriatric population.

Located in Springfield, Bridgeway Mental Healthcare is committed to providing specialized mental health care tailored to the unique needs of elderly individuals. Our Geriatric Psychiatry practice offers a collaborative environment where licensed mental health counselors work alongside experienced geriatric psychiatrists. Our aim is to treat various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment difficulties, thus improving the overall quality of life for our patients.

This role will be entirely remote, allowing for flexibility to manage your work-life balance while providing essential mental health services. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that values innovation in patient care and evidence-based practices. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required based on patient demand.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, incorporating the complexities of aging, medical history, and social circumstances to formulate effective treatment strategies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's cognitive, emotional, and social needs, integrating diverse therapeutic approaches.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities suitable for older adults, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and supportive counseling.
• Engage in collaborative treatment planning with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care that encompasses physical, emotional, and psychological health.
• Provide crisis intervention services to elderly patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring swift support and stabilization.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment avenues, and community resources available to enhance ongoing care.
• Maintain precise, confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date patient documentation.
• Participate actively in team meetings, collaborating on case discussions and contributing to the continual learning process within the organization.
• Stay abreast of advancements in geriatric mental health to enhance therapeutic practices and group discussions, fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement.

This role focuses on the geriatric population, who often experience unique mental health challenges. You'll support patients dealing with diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and other related conditions, helping them navigate emotional turmoil and enhancing their well-being through tailored interventions.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in Illinois is mandatory.
• Demonstrable understanding of geriatric mental health issues and treatment methodologies.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining data and facilitating patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating empathy and building rapport with elderly patients and their families.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of cooperation and mutual support.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred, particularly within a geriatric mental health setting.
• Experience delivering therapeutic interventions specifically tailored to older adults.
• Previous involvement in crisis management and emergency response concerning mental health challenges faced by the elderly.

The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
