Position Summary
The Business Process Automation Analyst is responsible for identifying, developing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, data integrity, and scalability across mortgage servicing operations. This position combines expertise in robotic process automation (RPA), business intelligence, database management, and process improvement to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
The analyst partners with business stakeholders to evaluate current processes, design automated solutions, develop bots and reporting tools, and maintain databases and applications that support operational performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Process Automation & RPA
  • Analyze existing mortgage servicing processes and identify automation opportunities.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain UiPath bots and automated workflows.
  • Monitor bot performance and troubleshoot automation exceptions.
  • Support ongoing optimization of automated processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Create technical documentation for automation solutions, workflows, and support procedures.

Data Management & Database Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain databases that support operational reporting and process automation.
  • Create and manage SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrations.
  • Develop data validation controls to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Maintain Microsoft Access databases and applications where applicable.
  • Support data migration and system integration projects.

Reporting & Business Intelligence
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and executive stakeholders.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions that provide actionable business insights.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Create Excel-based reporting and analytical tools utilizing advanced formulas, Power Query, and automation features.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with business leaders to document workflows and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in operational efficiency initiatives and digital transformation projects.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide user support and training related to automated processes, reports, and database tools.
  • Assist with implementation and testing of new systems and technologies.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in process automation, business systems, business intelligence, or related technical roles.
  • Experience developing and supporting UiPath automation solutions.
  • Experience supporting operations in a financial services, mortgage servicing, banking, or regulated environment preferred.

Technical Skills
  • UiPath development and bot administration.
  • Strong SQL/database development skills.
  • Power BI dashboard and report development.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Microsoft Access database development and maintenance.
  • Microsoft Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power Automate) preferred.
  • Understanding of data structures, integrations, and workflow automation.
