Job Description

We are seeking a high-impact, industry-savvy seller to lead growth across the Water & Wastewater market. This role is designed for a driven professional who understands the complexity of the water ecosystem-and thrives on turning that complexity into opportunity.

You will leverage deep industry relationships, navigate multi-layered stakeholder environments, and bring forward Rockwell Automation's digital and industrial solutions to help customers modernize infrastructure, improve resilience, and achieve operational excellence.

As an Industry Account Manager - Water/Wastewater, you will take ownership of a strategic territory and drive growth across a diverse portfolio of municipal, EPC, consultant, OEM, and integrator relationships. This is not a maintenance role-this is an opportunity to shape market direction, build new pathways to revenue and expand Rockwell Automation's presence in a critical, rapidly evolving industry.

You will report to the Industry Sales Manager and operate within the northwestern Ohio territory, with flexibility to work remotely while maintaining a strong local presence in the market.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead with insight: Bring a deep understanding of the water/wastewater landscape, including regulatory drivers, funding dynamics, and the broader ecosystem of influencers and decision-makers.
  • Build and expand relationships: Develop trusted partnerships across municipalities, engineering firms, system integrators, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Drive growth: Identify, create, and close complex opportunities that deliver measurable business impact for both customers and Rockwell Automation.
  • Navigate complexity: Influence multi-stakeholder buying processes and position differentiated, end-to-end solutions.
  • Champion innovation: Help customers adopt digital transformation, automation, and data-driven strategies to modernize operations and infrastructure.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visa, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to travel up to 40% of the time to customers
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technology Field. Additional business-related degree/experience.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in Sales or Account Management.
  • 3+ years of experience selling into or managing accounts in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing and automation.
  • Applied experience in one or more areas related to selling control/information solutions into our target industries, or supporting same, and/or production/process engineering experience, manufacturing operations experience or similar work

For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from $142,240 - $213,360 of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable.
