Job description

High-Performance Materials | Remote (Midwest preferred) | US & Canada Territory

Ready to own your own territory and drive new business across mobility and industrial markets in the US and Canada?

A well-established international manufacturer of electrical insulation materials, technical laminates, fiber-reinforced composites, and other engineered material solutions is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition, territory growth, and revenue development.

This individual-contributor role is designed for a commercially driven business development or industrial sales professional with a track record of opening new accounts, developing markets, and building qualified B2B pipelines. You will engage OEMs, industrial manufacturers, fabricators, converters, and distributors while expanding the company's presence across mobility, industrial manufacturing, automation, commercial and specialty vehicles, rail, and other technically demanding applications.

Reporting to the Director of Sales North America, you will own the

commercial sales process from prospecting and opportunity qualification through proposal development, pricing, negotiation, closing, and account growth. You will work closely with technical, manufacturing, product management, and commercial teams across the United States, Mexico, and Europe.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle - from prospecting and opportunity qualification through solution positioning, pricing, negotiation, closing, and account growth.
  • Drive new business for high-performance materials, technical laminates, reinforced materials, electrical insulation solutions, and engineered components.
  • Build relationships with OEMs, industrial manufacturers, fabricators, converters, and specialty distributors across mobility, commercial and specialty vehicles, rail, automation, and other industrial applications.
  • Identify new market opportunities, develop assigned territories and customer segments, and convert commercial strategy into sustainable, profitable revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, manufacturing, and commercial teams across the United States, Mexico, and Germany to advance customer opportunities.

What You Bring

  • Proven track record in industrial B2B sales, business development, territory sales, regional sales, technical sales, sales engineering, market development, or a comparable commercial role within engineered materials, composites, plastics, insulation, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success opening new accounts, developing territories or market segments.
  • Experience selling engineered materials, technical products, components, or industrial solutions into manufacturing environments.
  • Strong prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, self-directed, and organized working style with strong commercial judgment.
  • Willingness to travel 50-70% throughout North America.

Why Join

  • Target base salary around $110k, commensurate with experience
  • Attractive performance-based variable compensation
  • 100% employer-paid medical coverage
  • 12-14 company-observed holidays annually
  • Company-supported dental and vision coverage
  • Employer-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance
  • Retirement savings participation with company match
  • A progressive paid time-off structure that increases with tenure
  • Structured onboarding through local mentorship
Employment Type: FULL_TIME
