This role is crucial as it involves providing essential mental health services to individuals facing significant emotional and psychological challenges, particularly those within a detox setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and a passion for helping underserved populations.

About the Organization

Mindfulbear Counseling Center is committed to enhancing community wellness by delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services, particularly in regions where access to medical care is limited. Our mission centers on bridging the gap in mental health services for individuals regardless of their financial capacity. We embody a global perspective while acting locally, and we strive to set a high standard for healthcare institutions in service delivery. Our core values guide our day-to-day operations and decision-making processes.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, enabling our Clinical Social Worker to maintain flexibility while effectively serving clients from various backgrounds. As part of our virtual team, you will engage with professionals who are equally committed to improving mental health outcomes. We provide a supportive work culture that emphasizes collaboration and respect among team members, promoting a shared goal of enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain trusting relationships with clients, ensuring their emotional and psychological needs are met in a safe environment.
  • Engage actively as a team member, contributing to shared goals and enhancing team collaboration.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of clients.
  • Assess client needs through comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized care plans that incorporate therapeutic interventions and community resources.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment, applying effective strategies to manage high-stress situations.
  • Create and implement evidence-based treatment modalities and progress monitoring techniques to track client developments.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care delivery, facilitating communication among clients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and referrals in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Attend regular team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance clinical competencies and share best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The target clientele for this role comprises individuals experiencing severe emotional challenges, mental health disorders, and those undergoing detoxification. The LCSW will be instrumental in fostering recovery, resilience, and overall well-being among clients who often come from marginalized communities requiring tailored support and empathetic understanding.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.
  • Valid LCSW license within the state of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or social services, preferably in a community or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
  • Proficient organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.
  • Understanding of age-specific or demographic-specific issues pertaining to mental health.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Experience

Experience working in detox centers or addiction services is highly valued. Familiarity with community resources and a understanding of health disparities impacting underserved populations will enhance the clinical effectiveness of the candidate.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000.
  • Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance packages.
  • 401k retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off policy, including sick leave.
  • Life insurance coverage and options for profit-sharing.
  • Discounts with various vendors and access to flexible spending accounts.
  • Tuition reimbursement programs to support ongoing education and professional development.
  • Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life balance.
  • Referral bonuses for bringing in new talent to our dedicated team.
