Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients, demonstrating reliability and consistent support.

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand client needs, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based interventions, including counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Facilitate access to additional support services, coordinating with families, clients, and external providers to optimize care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Mindfulbear Counseling Center, you will work primarily with individuals facing significant mental health challenges and severe emotional issues. Our client population includes diverse demographics, often comprising underserved communities requiring specialized attention. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in assessing and treating a variety of mental health conditions, ensuring each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.
• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies, including crisis intervention techniques.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and empathetic engagement with clients and team members.
• Organizational and planning skills necessary to manage a varied caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a social worker is preferred.
• Experience working with multicultural populations or in community health settings is highly desirable.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an asset, enhancing service delivery to our diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits

Mindfulbear Counseling Center offers an attractive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
