A Remote PRN RN job is a flexible, as-needed nursing position that allows registered nurses to work from home, typically providing telehealth services, case management, or remote patient monitoring. These roles require active RN licensure and experience in areas like triage, chronic disease management, or insurance assessments. Since the position is PRN (pro re nata), hours are not guaranteed and vary based on employer needs.
To thrive as a Remote PRN RN, you need a valid RN license, strong clinical assessment abilities, and experience in diverse healthcare environments. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and secure communication tools is typically required. Excellent time management, self-motivation, and strong verbal and written communication are valuable soft skills. These are crucial for providing effective patient care remotely, ensuring compliance with regulations, and adapting quickly to varying work demands.
One of the main challenges of working as a Remote PRN RN is adapting to changing schedules and clinical needs, since PRN positions require flexibility based on staffing demands. You may also need to manage patient care independently and troubleshoot technical issues related to remote work platforms. Staying organized, being proactive in communication, and regularly updating your knowledge of telehealth best practices will help you excel. Building a strong rapport with remote teams and utilizing available training resources can enhance both your confidence and effectiveness in this role.

This is not a job for everyone. We hold an extremely high bar because we believe talent density is our biggest competitive advantage. We're looking for people who actively choose hard, ambiguous problems, who run toward unglamorous work, give and receive candid feedback, and bring relentless resilience without the ego. Our work is important, but we are not self-important. We do this because we're solving one of the hardest problems in the world, and the problem matters. If that's you, we disproportionately reward it.
Reporting directly to our Credentialing Manager, the Credentialing / Enrollment Senior Associate will support all credentialing or payer enrollments operations at Nourish, including assisting with day-to-day tasks, maintaining and optimizing workflows, developing net-new processes as we expand into new payers and functions, and helping to ensure the credentialing process runs smoothly. This is an entry point into our cred/enrollment org - We're hiring for a number of roles and will make sure we match you with the best fit opportunity.
This role is critical for many of Nourish's core operations; you'll get the chance to work cross-functionally with our RCM, Payer Ops, Clinical Ops, and Customer Experience teams. The work you do will positively impact all stakeholders at Nourish—our patients (ensuring they get the life-changing care they need), our dietitians (providing a seamless credentialing experience), our payers, and more.
This role is full-time and open fully remote or NYC-based candidates.
Key Responsibilities:You have 3+ years of experience in a payer enrollment and/or credentialing role.
