The Job at a Glance The Director, HVAC Strategic Partnerships is responsible for developing and managing executive-level relationships with private equity firms, portfolio companies, strategic partners, consolidators, buying groups, and other influential organizations within the HVAC ecosystem. This is a highly visible individual contributor role focused on identifying growth opportunities, creating enterprise-level partnerships, and driving revenue across a portfolio of strategic relationships.

The role serves as a bridge between Parts Town and key industry stakeholders, helping create scalable programs that accelerate growth for both organizations.

The ideal candidate combines executive presence, consultative selling expertise, industry knowledge, and strong business acumen to influence decision-makers and create longโ€term value. A Typical Day Build and maintain relationships with private equity firms active in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and home services Develop executive-level relationships with portfolio company leadership teams, including CEOs, Presidents, COOs, and operating partners Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion Create and execute account plans for key private equity firms and strategic partners Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise-level relationships and partnership initiatives Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Product teams to maximize partnership value Develop programs that help partners improve operational performance, technician productivity, inventory management, and parts procurement Lead executive business reviews and strategic planning sessions with partners Monitor industry trends, M&A activity, consolidator growth, and competitive developments Identify new market opportunities and influence corporate strategy through market intelligence Represent Parts Town at industry events, conferences, private equity forums, and partner meetings Negotiate partnership agreements and manage strategic initiatives from concept through execution Deliver annual sales, profitability, and growth objectives across assigned partnerships To Land This Opportunity You have 8+ years of experience in strategic sales, business development, partnerships, private equity relations, or enterprise account management You demonstrate the ability to build executive-level relationships and influence senior decision-makers You have strong understanding of private equity ownership models and portfolio company structures You have experience working within HVAC, distribution, building products, industrial, home services, or related industries preferred You can demonstrate success developing and growing large strategic accounts or partnerships Your communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are exceptional You possess strong business acumen with the ability to identify and monetize growth opportunities You have experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority and the ability to operate independently in a highly entrepreneurial environment You're an all-star communicator and are proficient in English (both written and verbal) You have a quality, high speed internet connection at home Bonus Points: You have existing relationships with HVAC-focused private equity firms and consolidators You are experienced working with contractor platforms, buying groups, or national accounts and obtain a background in distribution, OEM manufacturing, or service-based industries You're confident with M&A trends and investment activity within the trades industry You have a bachelor's degree At Parts Town, we value transparency and are committed to ensuring our team members feel appreciated and supported.

The salary range for this role is $94,301.86 to $140,874.95 annually which is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a profit-sharing program, and an annual bonus depending on the role.
