Employees in these roles work from home, utilizing online systems to evaluate clinical information, communicate with providers, and ensure compliance with insurance policies. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance guidelines, and attention to detail to facilitate timely and accurate approvals or denials. Remote prior authorization personnel often answer telephone calls to provide consultations, perform initial benefit verification, document case status, actions, and outcomes in a database, and use customer service skills to help expedite cases as needed. Since this is a remote call center-style job, you may be asked to arrange for a quiet office in your house that is free of distractions.

About the Program

Our client delivers evidence-based obesity treatment through a virtual clinic model. Patients receive a combination of pharmacotherapy, structured coaching, and longitudinal follow-up. This is a clinical program, not a prescription mill — we hold patients through titration and maintenance, and our physicians see the outcomes of their own decisions over time.

You'll join a team that includes ABOM-certified physicians, registered dietitians, and behavioral health support.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations, including metabolic workup review and comorbidity assessment

  • Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy where clinically indicated

  • Prescribe and titrate semaglutide, tirzepatide, and adjunct agents, managing side effects and plateaus

  • Review labs and adjust plans across the maintenance phase

  • Collaborate with dietitians and coaches on non-pharmacologic components of care

  • Document thoroughly to support prior authorization and continuity of care

What We Offer
  • Multi-disciplinary team on every case

  • Flexible scheduling with W2 and 1099 pathways available

  • Malpractice coverage and CME support

  • ABOM certification sponsorship for interested physicians

  • Meaningful continuity — you follow your patients through their full course of treatment

Qualifications
  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license

  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, or a related specialty

  • Active DEA registration

  • 2+ years of post-residency clinical practice

  • Experience prescribing and managing GLP-1 therapies for weight management

  • Comfort with telemedicine workflows and virtual patient relationships

  • Active, unrestricted medical licensure in a minimum of three U.S. states

  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish, sufficient to conduct a complete clinical encounter without an interpreter

  • ABOM certification, or interest in pursuing it, is a plus
