Job description

ReVisionz is currently looking for experienced Smart 3D Electrical Designers to support us on a U.S. nuclear project.

The work involves converting existing Revit Electrical models into Smart 3D. This role develops and maintains the detailed 3D model of electrical systems under the direction of electrical engineering. The role typically includes placing electrical equipment, routing cable trays, conduits, duct banks and cables, producing drawings and material take-offs, and coordinating with structural, mechanical, piping, instrumentation and construction teams to prevent clashes and support safe installation, access and maintenance. Because the work supports a nuclear facility, the designer must follow strict design standards, quality-assurance procedures and configuration-management controls so that model data, drawings and the physical plant remain accurate, consistent and fully traceable through design changes and as-built updates.

The project is expected to have 4+ months or so duration initially. While we expect project continuance, we cannot guarantee an extension.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must meet each of the following requirements:

1.Have strong and recent proficiency in Smart 3D Electrical Design (both modeling and drawing production) experience, used in the last 3 years in an industrial, EPC, owner/operator, oil and gas, chemical, energy, or process industry environment.
2.Must be a Canadian or U.S. resident and citizen.
3.Candidates with citizenships from other countries must be listed in Appendix A to Part 810, Title 10 Generally Authorized Destinations to be eligible: (https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-10/chapter-III/part-810/appendix-Appendix%20A%20to%20Part%20810)
4.Must pass a 5-panel drug and alcohol test, and a NATO security/background check.
5.Willing to complete a S3D skills assessment following a successful interview.
Additional Requirements:

  • A 13” Dell laptop will be provided by our client. You will be responsible for any additional equipment (webcam, keyboard, mouse, KVM switch, docking station, monitors).
  • As the role is fully remote, you will need a reliable internet connection of at least 100 Mb/s.
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English is expected.
