Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under clinical supervision that address the specific mental health needs of clients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with therapy standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Lead and facilitate consumer groups, promoting peer engagement and support among participants.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to ensure consistent quality of care and professional development.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with clients, family members, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure holistic and effective treatment.
  • Assist clients with accessing additional social services and community resources as directed by the clinical team.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with potential referral sources in the community to promote client intake and referrals.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association and other governing bodies.
  • Stay updated with JCAHO, Medicaid, and DBH standards, contributing to maintaining necessary accreditation and certifications.
  • Provide psychosocial assessments and participate in comprehensive treatment planning, documenting client progress accurately.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily serve clients dealing with various mental health challenges, including perinatal anxiety and depression, trauma-related issues, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. With a focus on providing empathetic and culturally competent care, you'll address the unique needs of a diverse clientele, maximizing their potential for recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a mental health professional (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) in accordance with state regulations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively while actively listening to clients and colleagues.
  • A strong commitment to ethical practice and adherence to guidelines, with a clean history regarding medical malpractice claims.
