Job description

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Hours

  • Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm local time zone + occasional weekends
  • Training schedule – 5 weeks starting 11/09/2026, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CT

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Compensation

  • The pay for this position is between $53.00 an hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist Responsibilities

  • Review and process medication prior authorization requests based on clinical criteria, formulary guidelines, and plan benefits.
  • Evaluate patient records, diagnoses, medications, labs, and previous treatment history.
  • Approve, deny, or escalate requests requiring additional clinical review.
  • Communicate with providers to obtain clinical information and clarify treatment plans.
  • Document clinical decisions accurately while meeting quality, productivity, and turnaround-time standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and applicable utilization-management guidelines.
