Job description


Find your purpose as a Grant Post Award Program Consultant with CentraCare. As a Grant Post Award Program Consultant you will be responsible for managing all post-award stages of the grant lifecycle with a highly complex portfolio of grants for all federal, state, city, county, and private foundation grants. Responsible for overseeing all compliance, budgets, and adherence to grant outcomes and deliverables and reports to the funder. Facilitates coordination across divisions and communication on multi-departmental grant projects to ensure that grants are processed and administered in a timely manner and according to grant requirements. Resolves procedural, operational, and other work-related problems by working with departments and granting agencies to facilitate solutions. This position serves as a liaison between the funder, Project Champion/Program Manager and Finance to ensure grant compliance and develop strategies to optimize grant and contract management processes.

Schedule:

  • Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • Mon-Fri 8a-430p CST
  • Fully remote

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay begins at $82,305.60 per year and increases with experience.
  • Salary range:  $82,305.60 -$123,448.00 per year
    • Salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, English, Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Communications or related field commensurate experience may be considered.
  • 8 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit development and/or management.
  • 8 years of progressively responsible experience in project management and/or grant management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel including the ability to collect, arrange, and represent data accurately.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Application, including Outlook, Word, Power Point and SharePoint
  • Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential from the Grant Professionals Certification Institute and the Grant Professionals Association preferred.
  • Strategic, operational, and technical marketing & management skills.
  • Familiarity with health care/research environment, nonprofit or higher education.
  • Previous experience in project management preferred.
  • Utilize Excel to create reports using PivotTables, custom visualizations using combo charts, form controls, and formula-driven ranges and formatting rules preferred.
  • High-level understanding of nonprofit accounting and grants management issues.
  • Adept database management skills and/or familiarity with industry software packages (E.g. Foundant, Blackbaud) preferred.
  • Comfortable speaking with executives and providing distilled, relevant information.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks, effectively address overlapping projects and deadlines and remain adaptable and reliable in face of conflict or changing priorities. 
  • Ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced and growth-oriented environment, while maintaining a sense of calm, humor, and a positive, solution-oriented approach. 
  • Work collegially, inclined to coach and teach in order to improve knowledge and ability of others, but holds people accountable for results.

  • Proven superb writing skills and successful grant writing experience, including government grant writing experience.
  • Cooperative and helpful attitude with clients and co-workers. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting. Must be able to effectively communicate with teams and leaders system-wide. 
  • The ability to exercise good judgment in confidential and ethical matters. 
  • Must be a "big-picture" person who can also attend to the smallest detail.
