New Pattern Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting progress from the initial consultation through to the completion of treatment.
• Develop personalized recovery and intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower clients and promote therapeutic progress.
• Monitor each client’s progression against their treatment goals, making data-driven adjustments as necessary to enhance outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including social workers, primary care providers, and psychiatrists, to ensure cohesive and effective intervention strategies.
• Manage referrals efficiently, following up with all necessary parties to ensure continuity of care for clients transitioning in and out of hospital settings.
• Support family members and caregivers in navigating mental and emotional challenges associated with their loved ones' experiences.
• Identify risk factors and barriers to recovery, implementing strategies to mitigate these challenges and promote healthy coping mechanisms.

Your client interactions will encompass a wide spectrum of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Working with diverse populations, you will tailor your approach to address unique cultural and environmental factors that affect mental health. Your commitment to building rapport and trust with clients will be pivotal in facilitating their recovery journeys.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, crucial for effectively documenting findings and communicating with clients and team members.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client interactions.

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community health setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR or similar.
• Experience in dealing with co-occurring disorders, addiction issues, and significant physical and emotional health challenges.
• Knowledge of and adherence to best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, alongside a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
