Primo Mental and Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) for a full-time remote position. This position allows for a flexible work schedule, accommodating both full-time commitments and part-time arrangements. As part of a community health clinic, your work will directly contribute to improving mental health outcomes within the Paterson, New Jersey area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, psychosocial evaluations, and initial diagnostic interviews to identify clients' needs accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual goals, mental health conditions, and cultural considerations.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in various formats, including one-on-one sessions and group therapy.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as necessary, ensuring clients receive timely and appropriate care during acute distress.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation for clients and their families, equipping them with tools and knowledge to manage mental health challenges effectively.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprised of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers to coordinate a holistic approach to patient care.
  • Regularly assess treatment outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal client progress.
  • Stay current with ongoing research and developments in mental health, integrating evidenced-based practice into your treatment methods.
  • Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines, ensuring client confidentiality in all interactions and records.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may present a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related issues. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
