TheOPPORTUNITY

Leverage your industry expertise and join our expanding team in this Senior Virtual Premium Auditor role for the North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Georgia, Mississippi, and Florida area. The Sr.VirtualPremium Auditorwill require the individual to handle larger, more complex audits and to have a high level of understanding of insurance coverages. TheSr.VirtualPremium Auditorwillbe called upon to provide guidance andassistthe Field Manager withthetrainingofless experiencedvirtualauditors. It is expected that this levelvirtualauditor willoperatewith more autonomy than the entry-levelvirtualauditor.

This remote role will allow you to do your best work from your home office, collaborating virtually with your team daily.You will travel to our Raleigh office for meetings and company events up to four times a year

Your WORK as aPremium Audit Processorwill make a differenceasyou:

  • Conductvirtual auditsand pre-auditsof selectedlarger or complexcommercial lines policies by reviewing the customer's business operations, including examining,verifying,and recording pertinent classification-related data from financial businessrecords.
  • Ensure quality of the audit through proper risk classification and exposure basis identification.
  • Utilize laptop computer to record audit informationprovided by the Premium Audit Service Representativeand totransmitcompleted auditsin a timelymanner.
  • Discuss issues and problems with insureds to ensure understanding of the change in premium and tomaintaingood customerrelations.
  • Provide external customers(i.e., agents andinsured's) and internal customers (i.e., underwriting, claims, and accounting) with information toassistin their understanding of audit-related matters, including audit statements,procedures,andworksheets.
  • Remain informed of changes and current informationrelativeto premium auditing through discussions with industry experts and review of industry relatedliterature.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills andcanwork from a home office with little directsupervision.
  • Conduct business in a professional mannertoconserve and protect the corporate assets of Builders Mutual
  • Work on special projects and assignments asrequired, in addition to regularly scheduled work.
  • Assistintrainingless experienced auditors asassigned.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to lower-level auditors.

  • Bachelor's degreein Accounting, Business Administration, or related field plus 3-5 yearsof industryexperienceor equivalent combination of education andworkexperience.
