We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Gentle Care Mental Health Center. This is a full-time remote position that will focus on providing essential telehealth mental health services within a detox center environment. • Conduct thorough telehealth interviews and assessments with clients and their families to identify key social, emotional, and economic factors affecting their health and treatment progress.
• Utilize a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic techniques to develop effective treatment plans focusing on clients’ recovery from substance use and trauma.
• Monitor clients’ progress through regular follow-ups and adapt treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Research, refer, and advocate for community resources, including food assistance, childcare services, and healthcare options to support clients’ overall well-being.
• Respond to crisis situations, including mental health emergencies and cases of suspected child abuse, ensuring immediate and appropriate interventions are executed.
• Engage with clients and communities to identify those in need of support while utilizing a strengths-based approach to empower them.

The primary patient population served will be individuals seeking help for substance use disorders. Your role will focus on understanding the unique challenges faced by these clients, many of whom may also be dealing with co-occurring mental health issues. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and you will be expected to employ culturally competent practices that respect and honor their individual narratives and experiences.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in the state of Oregon.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing mental health services, ideally in a health-related setting, with a preference for candidates who have experience working with veterans.
• Familiarity with Department of Mental Health billing and documentation requirements to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
• A strong background in parent-child intervention and knowledge of child development, as you may work with families in crisis situations.
• Exemplary verbal and written communication skills to effectively counsel and advise clients in a supportive and empathetic manner.

• Direct experience providing support within a detox facility or similar mental health environment.
• Knowledge and practical skills in using various therapeutic modalities tailored for substance use disorders.
• Experience with community outreach programs that enhance client access to necessary resources and support systems.
