Here's why we need your help

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Performance Marketing Account Manager to drive performance across a portfolio of high-value advertising partners. This role is critical in delivering measurable ROI, growing long-term partnerships, and shaping the strategic direction of advertising performance on Recovery.com.
In this role, you will own the client growth journey-driving onboarding, retention, and expansion with a high degree of autonomy. You will act as a performance consultant, identifying opportunities to scale ROI, contributing to cross-functional initiatives, and helping evolve our product and data capabilities to better serve our customers.
You will manage complex, large-scale accounts with sophisticated campaign structures and significant budget allocations, requiring deep expertise in digital advertising, PPC campaign management, and technical attribution and campaign optimization. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior and executive stakeholders, leading high-impact conversations, aligning on strategic priorities, and influencing investment decisions.

Work Location

This role is based in Madison, Wisconsin (3 days/week in-office), but we're open to remote for the right candidate.

How you know you're being successful

  • Portfolio Growth & Retention: You've moved beyond "saving" accounts to scaling them. Your advertisers don't just renew; they proactively increase their investment because you've demonstrated a clear path to higher ROI.
  • Strategic Authority: You are the "Trusted Advisor" in the room. When performance dips or competitors shift, senior stakeholders look to your diagnostic insights and data-informed roadmaps to steer the strategy.
  • Product Influence: You've identified gaps in our current data or ad placements and successfully collaborated with the Product/Engineering teams to build solutions that better serve our high-spend advertisers.

We'll expect you to do things like these

  • Own and manage a portfolio of strategic advertiser accounts with significant budgets and complex campaign strategies
  • Lead onboarding for high-value clients by designing scalable, efficient processes that reduce time to launch and ensure accurate attribution setup
  • Develop and execute advanced, multi-channel PPC and digital advertising strategies aligned to client business objectives
  • Analyze performance data across platforms (GA4, Amplitude, Sigma, CRM, call tracking, etc.) to identify trends, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities
  • Lead executive-level performance reviews, presenting insights, recommendations, and long-term strategic plans
  • Influence and align senior client stakeholders to drive decision-making, budget expansion, and adoption of new strategies
  • Identify and pursue account growth opportunities in partnership with Account Executives to increase revenue and retention
  • Act with urgency and ownership while partnering cross-functionally to solve complex problems and drive measurable outcomes
  • Mentor and support junior team members by tracking and resolving issues and sharing agency-grade performance optimization best practices.
  • Actively represent our company and engage with the Recovery.com community on major social media platforms, such as LinkedIn

Required Qualifications

  • 5- 7 years of experience in an agency or high-growth environment, specifically managing high-intent lead generation or direct-response accounts
  • Experience in PPC campaign management, including proficiency in Google Ads and related platforms
  • Proven experience managing large, complex, enterprise-level advertising accounts with significant budgets
  • Strong experience working with executive-level stakeholders and navigating complex organizational dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, generate insights, and translate them into strategic recommendations
  • Deep understanding of the modern tracking ecosystem, including GA4, GTM, call tracking and CRM integration.

What we think will improve your chances of success

  • Experience working in a fast-paced digital advertising agency managing high-value or enterprise clients
  • Strong track record of driving revenue growth through account expansion and retention strategies
  • Experience influencing cross-functional initiatives and contributing to product or process improvements
  • Expertise in advanced reporting tools and data visualization platforms such as Sigma and Amplitude
  • Direct experience in the Behavioral Health or Mental Health industry and understand the nuances of compliance, LegitScript, and the unique sensitivity of the patient journey.

Sound like the role for you? We'd love to hear from you! Even if you're not 100% sure about potential fit, we still encourage you to apply. We're looking for the right person, not the perfect series of checkboxes.
