To lead our growth in the Battery Energy Storage market segment we are hiring a Sales Director Battery Energy Storage segment.

The pay range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000 per year based on the national average.

Your Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, driven, and passionate individual to join the sales organization as the Account Director, Battery Energy Storage Segment. In this role, you will translate customer insights and requirements into compelling solutions, promote Renewance at conferences and tradeshows, and deliver on order targets. You'll blend hunting and farming skills to develop relationships with battery OEMs, Power System Integrators, and Battery Power System Operators across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise, implement, and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the battery energy storage markets, with a focus on selling services and software solutions. This includes identifying target segments, setting sales objectives, and aligning efforts with company goals.
  • Utilize an established network within the renewable energy market to build relationships with key decision-makers. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering value through ongoing engagement and expertise in both services and software offerings.
  • Demonstrate a "hunter" mentality by actively seeking out new opportunities through a systematic and strategic approach to the sales process. This includes lead generation, pipeline management, and the ability to navigate long sales cycles effectively.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations that clearly articulate the company's value proposition. Effectively communicate this value to customers at all levels, ensuring alignment with their goals and needs. Build trust with clients through clear and confident communication, positioning the company as a trusted advisor.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of the renewable energy market, including key technical details and market drivers, to offer thought leadership and technical guidance to customers. Stay informed of evolving customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as business development or field sales leader in Battery Energy Storage or closely related field.
  • Experience running a full sales lifecycle including lead generation & qualification, proposal development and presentation, closing, and account management.
  • Knowledge of the Battery OEM, Battery Energy Storage System Integrators, and Battery Energy Storage System Operators customer segments REQUIRED.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and ability to understand customer expectations.
  • Experience generating competitive analysis and benchmarking
  • Skilled in presentation and public speaking
  • Timely and well-organized communicator
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office

Travel & Location

  • The position location is flexible but will involve 50% travel to industrial trade events, customer sites, and Renewance's HQ in Chicagoland.
