Job description

Eaton's PCS division is currently seeking a Divisional Strategic Pricing Manager - Bussmann to join the team. This is a remote role within the US and includes approximately 10% travel.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
The Divisional Strategic Pricing Manager - Bussmann is responsible for leading the development and execution of pricing strategies that drive profitable growth across Bussmann product lines. This role serves as a key strategic partner to product management, sales, and finance leadership, ensuring alignment between pricing strategies and division objectives.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this leader manages a team responsible for pricing execution and analytics, while also influencing division-level decisions on price positioning, portfolio strategy, and commercial policies. This role combines strategic leadership with operational execution, driving pricing excellence through analytics, governance, and cross-functional collaboration. The manager will play a critical role in enabling price realization, margin expansion, and long-term value creation for Bussmann.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop and lead divisional pricing strategies by product line, channel, and customer segment to achieve revenue and margin objectives. Drive execution of General Price Increases (GPI), including strategy setting, target definition, and coordination with commercial and product teams. Partner with sales leadership to resolve complex pricing scenarios and balance market competitiveness with profitability goals.

  • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Serve as the primary pricing partner to Bussmann product line leaders, influencing new product pricing, lifecycle management, and portfolio strategy. Oversee customer pricing programs, including agreements, rebates, and special pricing, ensuring alignment with division strategy. Collaborate with Sector Strategic Pricing, IT, and Finance to align tools, reporting, and best practices.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of pricing managers and analysts, providing direction, coaching, and performance management.

  • Pricing Governance: Establish pricing governance frameworks, policies, and standard methodologies to ensure consistency and scalability. Lead pricing transformation and improvement initiatives, including tools implementation, analytics enhancement, and process optimization. Act as a change agent to drive pricing culture, capability building, and adoption of best practices across the division.

  • Analytics Reporting: Identify and capture margin improvement opportunities through price waterfall analysis, mix optimization, and segmentation strategies. Provide advanced analytics and insights to division leadership, translating data into actionable pricing decisions. Monitor and report key pricing performance metrics, including price realization, margin expansion, and variance to targets.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or Business Management from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic pricing, commercial strategy, product management, or finance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams or managing direct reports
  • Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, QlikView, Excel, Tableau)
