Job description

WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a  Process Management and Integration Intern in our Chicago, Illinois location.  This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2027. The hourly rate for this internship is $23.10 with paid company holidays. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Chicago, Illinois office.

Job Summary


The Intern will provide support to gas utility personnel while developing technical expertise, interpersonal and communication skills, and project management skills. The intern will be responsible for assisting the business process integration department and other coordinating departments with various business driven projects and administrative tasks related to the asset management, supplier invoicing and workforce mobility systems.

Job Responsibilities

    Working under the direction of a mentor, build working knowledge of natural gas transmission and distribution engineering through exposure to a variety of facilities and work flow
   Utilize various computer programs, databases, spreadsheets, etc. to support department projects
   Exposure to reporting tools and utilizing Structured Query Language (SQL)
   Assisting with business process and data analysis
   Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience Required

   High School Diploma, GED, or HSED 
   Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related major with a graduation date after July 2027
   Minimum GPA of 2.8

End Date: 11/15/2026 

Pay Range Minimum:  $21.30

Pay Range Maximum:  $25.20

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
