Summit Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. • Conduct thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to meet the individual needs of clients.
• Provide ongoing consultation and collaborate effectively with colleagues in developing pre-crisis and crisis response plans, positive behavior support plans, and medication treatment protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with all regulatory standards, ensuring continuity of care and integration of services.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as guided by the clinical team to inform treatment decisions and track client progress.
• Engage with community service systems, state agencies, and other relevant parties to coordinate care and advocate for clients' needs.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Facilitate clear and open communication within the interdisciplinary team and with external stakeholders, promoting the agency’s mission and ensuring alignment with contract obligations.
• Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private organizations, to support program initiatives and develop new funding partnerships.
• Engage in continuous professional development, attending conferences, participating in workshops, and taking part in statewide meetings relevant to mental health and behavioral health practices.
• Adhere to the agency's mission and values, contributing to a supportive and empowering environment for clients and colleagues alike.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director, which may include specialized projects or initiatives to enhance service delivery.

You will work with a diverse population, including individuals facing mental health challenges, those in recovery from substance use, and clients with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. Your role is crucial in understanding each client's unique circumstances and tailoring interventions that promote resilience and support recovery.

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Must hold an Independent LMHC License issued by the state board, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards of practice.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports that facilitate effective treatment.
• Proven capacity to collaborate and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills, allowing you to express ideas clearly and build trusting relationships with clients and team members.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make independent, informed decisions based on clinical expertise.

Previous experience in an outpatient mental health setting or with specific populations such as substance use recovery or developmental disabilities is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health and ongoing professional development will be beneficial.
