The OI Provider Sales Readiness team oversees portfolio-wide resources for existing and new sales and market facing team members responsible for over $1 billion in commercial sales. In this role, you will define the strategic vision and drive the modernization of learning, readiness, and capability-building programs, ensuring sales and market facing professionals are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to succeed in an evolving marketplace. By leveraging AI-powered learning technologies, innovative digital solutions, and cross-functional partnerships, you will create scalable, data-driven training experiences that enhance onboarding, accelerate skill development, improve adoption of key initiatives, and strengthen overall sales performance. You will reimagine how market-facing teams build knowledge and skills by shifting from traditional classroom-based approaches to dynamic, AI-enabled, digital-first learning solutions that align with the expectations of today's technology-savvy workforce to accelerate onboarding, strengthen adoption of key initiatives, and continuously build sales capabilities at scale. Partnering across highly matrixed stakeholder groups, you will drive innovation in training strategy, modernize content creation and delivery, and ensure learning programs evolve alongside changing market demands and workforce preferences. A key focus of this role is establishing a robust certification framework that requires sales and market-facing team members to validate their knowledge, demonstrate proficiency, and earn certifications that reflect their ongoing professional development, readiness, and expertise in critical business capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Establish strategic priorities and roadmap for modernizing sales readiness, learning, and enablement resources across the Optum Insight Provider portfolio, leveraging emerging digital trends and enterprise-approved AI-powered tools
  • Drive execution across cross-functional teams, aligning Product, Business, Sales, and Enablement stakeholders to deliver scalable programs that improve sales effectiveness and stakeholder outcomes
  • Develop, refine, and promote modernized sales training and education programs, including interactive curriculum-based journeys, role-based training, coaching assets, and sales certifications or badges
  • Solve complex challenges by identifying readiness gaps, removing adoption barriers, and translating field needs into practical learning and development solutions
  • Champion adoption of modern tools and intelligent technologies across teams by setting advancement goals, measuring progress, and continuously improving workflows and program effectiveness
  • Lead ongoing management and optimization of Sales Toolkit learning and development resources to ensure content is current, accessible, and aligned to commercial priorities
  • Influence the effectiveness of key business initiatives by using data, stakeholder feedback, and enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve execution quality across the Provider commercial office
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop, implement, and deliver
  • Adept at listening, providing feedback, fostering collaboration, and challenging the status quo

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience with sales training and / or adult learning program development
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional, highly matrixed teams
  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (e.g., revenue cycle management, clinical utilization management, healthcare analytics, or related fields)
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and motivating sales and market facing teams
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to adapt technology and incorporate digital tools and platforms to enhance sales and market facing readiness
  • Demonstrated understanding of market trends and ability to adapt training programs accordingly
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment without direct authority
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage programs and projects independently from start to finish
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills with ability to translate insights into actionable plans and operational execution
  • Able and willing to travel approximately 10% of the time as business needs dictate

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leveraging modern AI productivity tools or automation (e.g., generative AI, automated content creation) to streamline business processes and support sales training content creation
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or clinical utilization management software solutions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
